HELL UNLEASHED
By The American Scene
A dark shadow has fallen over the Middle East.
In the early hours of Saturday, June 14, 2025, the sky over Israel and Iran
lit up with fire. Missiles screamed through the air. Buildings exploded.
Families cried in fear. War has returned—loud and deadly.
It started with Israel launching surprise airstrikes on several of Iran’s
most secret and protected nuclear sites. These were places where Iran is
believed to be working on making nuclear bombs.
Israel’s government said the strikes were needed to stop Iran from becoming
a nuclear power. But Iran didn’t stay silent.
In revenge, Iran launched three full waves of long-range
missiles straight at Israeli cities. They didn’t just aim for military
targets—they hit homes, hospitals, and even airports. The result: death, fear,
and chaos.
Heartbreaking Losses on Both Sides
In Israel, the strikes have killed at least 3 people. One
of them was a woman in her 30s, who was hit while hiding in her apartment in
the Gush Dan area of Tel Aviv. Over 60 others were wounded,
many seriously.
Two more died in Rishon Lezion, a city near Tel Aviv, when a missile smashed directly into a residential building. Rescue workers are still pulling survivors from the rubble.
In Iran, the suffering is even worse. Their government says 78
people have died, and more than 320 are injured from
Israel’s Friday attacks. One of the worst-hit places was Tehran's Mehrabad
Airport, which serves millions. Fire and smoke filled the air after
explosions rocked the area.
"Our Skies Are No Longer Safe"
Throughout the day and night, sirens wailed across northern
and central Israel. These sirens are a warning: missiles are coming. Families
rushed to bomb shelters. Children cried in fear. Some didn’t make it in time.
The Israeli army said that although most Iranian missiles were intercepted by air defense systems like the “Iron Dome,” several slipped through—causing massive damage.
On the Iranian side, the air also wasn’t safe. Israel’s airstrikes hit key
nuclear and military sites—like the famous Natanz nuclear facility—and
even killed six senior Iranian scientists. Iran’s leaders
vowed revenge, calling Israel’s attacks a declaration of war.
Diplomacy Dies, War Rises
As bombs fell, hope for peace vanished.
Iran now says its talks with the United States about its nuclear program are
“meaningless.” Their foreign ministry accused Washington of
helping Israel carry out these strikes.
“The U.S. allowed the Zionist regime to attack us,” said Iran’s spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei. “This is not diplomacy. This is war.”
President Donald Trump, who returned to office earlier this
year, said he had been informed about Israel’s plans before
the strikes. He even called the attacks “excellent,” saying
they were necessary to protect the world.
Trump also warned that if Iran continues its nuclear program, the U.S. might
also join the fight.
A Region on Fire
The danger isn’t just between Israel and Iran anymore.
Countries like Jordan, which lies between the two, were
forced to close their airspace because of Iranian drones and
Israeli fighter jets flying overhead. Though flights have now resumed, the fear
hasn’t gone away.
In Europe, leaders in Germany and France begged both sides
to stop before the whole region collapses into full-blown war. But their calls
may be too late. Many believe this conflict could pull in Lebanon,
Syria, and even Saudi Arabia next.
People Beg for Peace, But Leaders Push for War
In the middle of all this chaos are the ordinary people.
In both Iran and Israel, families are mourning. Children
are without parents. Hospitals are full. Cities are burning. Yet leaders on
both sides are calling for even more retaliation.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this week:
“Iran must be stopped, not tomorrow, but now.” He even spoke of “regime
change”—which many fear means another war like Iraq.
Meanwhile, Iran’s government promised to “make Israel regret”
every single life lost. The cycle of violence continues.
What Comes Next?
No one knows how far this war will go. But one thing is clear: innocent
people are paying the highest price.
The world is watching. The missiles are still flying. And unless something
changes fast, the Middle East may soon see a war far worse than anyone
imagined.
